El 9 de agosto es la fecha oficial para celebrar el D\u00eda Internacional de los Pueblos Ind\u00edgenas alrededor del mundo. Y m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las muchas historias de injusticia social, despojo de tierras y deforestaci\u00f3n, existen poderos\u00edsimas historias positivas en cantidad similar.<\/p>\n

Hoy celebramos reconociendo el maravilloso trabajo realizado por j\u00f3venes ind\u00edgenas \u2013 como activistas, educadores y narradores. Conversamos con cuatro l\u00edderes ind\u00edgenas de Indonesia, M\u00e9xico y Panam\u00e1 sobre sus campa\u00f1as y actividades \u2013 pero principalmente sobre lo que les gustar\u00eda que otros j\u00f3venes alrededor del mundo hicieran con sus historias.<\/p>\n\n \n\n\n\n

Dita es una joven ind\u00edgena, cineasta y activista que trabaja con Ranu Wellum en Kalimantan, Indonesia.
\nDita est\u00e1 organizando un evento especial para celebrar y edificar sobre los \u00e9xitos logrados en a\u00f1os anteriores \u201cLiderazgo Ind\u00edgena: Reproducir el sonido antiguo y abrazar nuestra herencia\u201d, para \u201calentar a los l\u00edderes de comunidades ind\u00edgenas para que alcen las voces a favor de su gente\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nRealmente quiero que los j\u00f3venes se hagan conscientes y tomen acci\u00f3n. Que no se queden callados con toda la lucha alrededor. Me encantar\u00eda inspirar a trav\u00e9s de esta historia, que cada uno sepa que \u00e9l o ella misma es el heroe.<\/em><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n

Iv\u00e1n, tambi\u00e9n cineasta, pertenece a la comunidad ind\u00edgena ember\u00e1 de Panam\u00e1.
\nTras haber participado y ganado premios por sus filmes en festivales de cine internacionales, Iv\u00e1n fue m\u00e1s all\u00e1 al crear un festival de cine ind\u00edgena para su comunidad, \u201cpara dar voz a los pueblos indigenas de todas las naciones, visibilizar sus luchas, sus creencias, cultura, costumbres y cosmovisi\u00f3n\u201d. M\u00e1s de mil personas participaron durante los tres d\u00edas del evento.<\/p>\n

Kalfein es un \u00e1vido narrador Minahasa, Indonesia.
\nAl igual que Iv\u00e1n, Kalfein se ha formado como narrador y videoasta \u2013 y decidi\u00f3 llevar su aprendizaje de vuelta a su comunidad y organizar un video sobre narrativa.
\nQuince j\u00f3venes escritores fueron reunidos, \u201ccon el prop\u00f3sito de transmitir su conocimiento a los miembros ind\u00edgenas m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes y escritores emergentes, en Minahasa, para documentarla historia de sus comunidades\u201d.<\/p>\n

Escribir es una forma de lucha. La lucha contra nuestras memorias que han envejecido, y el riesgo de olvidar nuestra identidad, nuestro territorio y los derechos de vivir como seres humanos.<\/em><\/p>\n

Por lo tanto, escribir es una opci\u00f3n muy relevante y contextual que puede ser utilizada por grupos de j\u00f3venes ind\u00edgenas para preservar su territorio, cultura y tradici\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, escribir es un esfuerzo para entregar el conocimiento a las generaciones presentes y futuras.<\/em><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
