Em uma \u00e9poca em que j\u00e1 vivemos oficialmente a sexta extin\u00e7\u00e3o em massa, uma <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/en\/news\/feature\/2016\/05\/11\/partnering-with-indigenous-peoples-and-ethnic-minorities-through-community-driven-development\">pesquisa de 2016 elaborada pelo Banco Mundial<\/a> demonstrou que os povos ind\u00edgenas representam apenas 5% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o do planeta, mas protegem 80% de sua biodiversidade.<\/p>\n <p>Enquanto v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses se esfor\u00e7am para cumprir o Acordo de Paris sobre Mudan\u00e7as Clim\u00e1ticas e limitar a eleva\u00e7\u00e3o da temperatura m\u00e9dia global em 1,5 \u00b0C, os povos ind\u00edgenas e as florestas que eles protegem s\u00e3o uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o j\u00e1 comprovada e dispon\u00edvel para esse complexo problema.<\/p>\n <p>Os povos ind\u00edgenas possuem cinco reivindica\u00e7\u00f5es:<\/p>\n <ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reconhecimento de terras, territ\u00f3rios e recursos<\/li>\n<li>Direito ao consentimento<\/li>\n<li>Viol\u00eancia zero<\/li>\n<li>Financiamento comum foram estabelecidas por organiza\u00e7\u00f5es ind\u00edgenas de quatro regi\u00f5es de florestas tropicais durante a Confer\u00eancia da ONU sobre Mudan\u00e7as Clim\u00e1ticas, realizada na No entanto, nossa \u00e1gua doce (que representa apenas 2% da \u00e1gua do mundo) est\u00e1 sob crescente amea\u00e7a devido \u00e0 r\u00e1pida mudan\u00e7a clim\u00e1tica, aos desastres de contamina\u00e7\u00e3o e ao crescimento populacional. O futuro desses 2% est\u00e1 em risco.
