Michael Mc Garrell

Michael Mc Garrell is from the Patamuna nation in Guyana raised in the village of Chenapou in the North Pakaraimas mountain range. The closest village to the Mighty Kaieteur falls, which is the most sacred place of the Patamuna people.  His work revolves around supporting the rights of indigenous peoples. Anything and all that he does is towards ensuring that the rights of Indigenous Peoples are protected and respected. He works with the Ameridian Peoples Association in Guyana and also is the Coordinator for Human Rights and Policies at the Amazon level for COICA.
