Amisandi

Indonesia

Amisandi is a Seko resident who lives in Tana Makaleang Village, Seko Tengah, North Luwu, South Sulawesi. On January 9, 2017, he was arrested while going to dialogue with representatives of PT Seko Power Prima.

He was jailed for 7 months in Rutan (prison) in Masamba, North Luwu, South Sulawesi and was freed on August 1, 2017.

Amisandi is not daunted by his criminalization efforts and will continue to voice the rejection of the Hydroelectric Power Plant development plan with Seko Indigenous community.

“Companies and local governments simply do not give enough space to voice our rejection”.
