Jonathan Enqueri

Yawe Film

Jonathan is a professional industrial engineer, his passion is photography. He’s part of community film group Yawe Film, doing camera and video assistance and support. Jonathan started working with organizations whose goal is to protect biodiversity from the negative effects that the oil industry has on the environment and local cultures. He lives in the Titepare community, in the Amazon region, and is part of the documentary “Hagamos El Curare” (2024). He started learning quickly with the Mentorship Program at INUTW. He participates in a group of young volunteers in the campaign to protect Yasuni National Park, in different parts of the Amazon. His role as an engineer looks for other sustainable sources to conserve and renew the (vainilla) value chain project avoiding contamination and destruction of primary forest in the Waorani territory.
