Limber Payaguaje belongs to the Siona nationality, from the community of Aboquehuira. He is a documentary filmmaker that works towards the revitalization of the Siona Ba’i ancestral memory. He has eight brothers, two sons and one daughter. Limber created the audiovisual report entitled ‘Yo’co Tsio’ (Yo’co Chagra) because he considers “important to document the process of planting Yo’co so that young people do not forget the importance of drinking it and learn from the grandparents its spiritual and medicinal properties”. Through film, Limber Payaguaje is helping to preserve this vital tradition and helping to keep the Siona culture alive.
