Maria Luisa Santana – or just Malu – is a writer, poet, communicator and producer at the Emerging Filmmakers Program at If Not Us Then Who. She’s an indigenous Pataxó traveler and art enthusiast with a background in communications who believes in the power of art & culture to honor her roots and to celebrate the resistance, diversity and beauty of indigenous cultures.
