Guided by the ancestral strength of Karo Sakaybu, the greatest warrior and creator of the Tapajós River and the Munduruku people, Chief Juarez denounces the threats to life posed by the invasions of loggers and miners in the Sawré Muybu territory, while uniting his people in the fight for the demarcation of the territory. Munduruku women are one of the main forces in this fight, and they courageously face their enemies, whether in the territory, in the streets, or in Congress. Self-demarcation becomes the only way after the indigenous land is recognized, but there is no government action to demarcate or curb invasions. “Why don’t we demarcate, since the land is ours?”. Self-demarcation is full of challenges and confrontations, but the Munduruku warriors are at the forefront of this fight and expel their invaders with courage and resistance. Sawé!

Autodemarcação e Fiscalização da Terra Indígena Sawre Muybu
Guiado pela força ancestral de Karo Sakaybu, o maior guerreiro e criador do rio Tapajós e do povo Munduruku, o cacique Juarez denuncia as ameaças à vida que das invasões de madeireiros e garimpeiros no território Sawré Muybu, ao mesmo tempo em que une seu povo na luta pela demarcação do território. As mulheres Munduruku são uma das principais forças nessa luta e enfrentam corajosamente seus inimigos, seja no território, nas ruas ou no Congresso. A Autodemarcação passa a ser o único caminho após o reconhecimento da terra indígena, mas não há ação do governo para demarcar ou coibir as invasões. “Por que não demarcamos, já que a terra é nossa?”. A autodemarcação é cheia de desafios e confrontos, mas os guerreiros Munduruku estão na frente dessa luta e expulsam seus invasores com coragem e resistência. Sawé!
This film shows the Khisetje people moving from their village to a more distant place because of the soya plantation and its poison that threatens their lives, their plants, and their projects like rivers, so the Khisetje people got together and decided to open a new village to the interior of the forest fleeing from the poison (agrochemical).

The story is told with the Guajajara environmental defenders, showing the complexity of the struggle after so many land defenders were murdered by invaders in the Amazon. The role of the protectors in the Guajajara community goes beyond climate action, bringing together the protection of standing forests with the conservation of traditional knowledge and the ongoing fight for identity and survival.
